The Pathfinder and Pilot both achieve impressive fuel economy for large SUVs. However, the Pathfinder enjoys slightly better efficiency, seeing up to an EPA-estimated 21 MPG in the city and 26 MPG on the highway for AWD models, and 21 MPG in the city and 27 MPG on the highway for FWD models.

The Pilot gets up to an EPA-estimated 19 MPG in the city and 25 MPG on the highway for AWD models, and 19 MPG in the city and 27 MPG on the highway in FWD models. While the differences might seem marginal, if you do a lot of driving, they add up to more fuel costs and more time at the gas pump.

First, there’s the biggest available sound system. Both offer a robust Bose sound system; however, the Pathfinder has up to 13 speakers, while the Pilot has 12.
