Nissan is well known for making great vehicles that are incredibly fun to drive so it is no surprise that the all-new Armada is far from an exception to this rule. Still, with a full-size SUV like this, you can never be sure what you will get, and there is a potential temptation for car companies to go light on power to save money on production. We do not see that here; Nissan has made the Armada as powerful as we hoped.
This all comes down to the impressive engine that Nissan has put in the Armada, which delivers tremendous power to enhance every moment you are on the road. This beast provides you with 425 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque, ensuring that every time you press the pedal, you are rewarded with aggressive performance that wants to tear up the road ahead of you. By comparison, the 2024 Armada, which is already a lot of fun to drive, features a 5.6L V8 engine that delivers 400 hp and 413 lb-ft of torque. You can see this is quite a bit more horsepower from the all-new model, ensuring you get the most from all of your time while driving.
What is most impressive is the difference in torque that we can see: the 2025 Armada gets more than 100 lb-ft of torque from its engine than the outgoing model. That is a massive improvement that you will feel any time you push up a hill or do some towing with your SUV since those are times such torque can really make a difference. It would have been easy for Nissan to rest on its laurels since the performance of the 2024 model is already so impressive; seeing how much they have pushed its power for the all-new version is remarkable. Even better, the 2025 Armada can handle up to 8,500 lbs of maximum towing; letting you enjoy yourself while driving and handle anything you want to haul behind your vehicle.
