Nissan Has Three Outstanding Sedans to Consider

It wasn’t that long ago that the most common vehicles you saw on the roads were sedans. While they came in many different sizes, these four-door cars ruled. But, thanks to the evolution of larger vehicles—namely, SUVs—sedans lost a lot of popularity. Not with everybody, however. Many drivers still love the agility and maneuverability these smaller vehicles offer. If you are in this group, you will be happy to know that Nissan still makes exceptional sedans. This guide takes a look at the three 2025 sedan models that you can test-drive here at your local Nissan dealer.
Nissan Versa
The spry and sporty subcompact Versa is a joy to drive and, thanks to its small stature, makes parking pretty much anywhere a breeze. It comes with a naturally aspirated 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 122 horsepower and 114 lb-ft of torque, which is mated to a five-speed manual transmission. A continuously variable transmission (CVT) is available for drivers who don’t want to deal with a clutch. The fuel economy of the 2025 Versa is terrific, and it gets an EPA-estimated 27 MPG in the city and 35 MPG on the highway with the manual transmission. If you opt for the CVT, those numbers are even better at 32 MPG in the city and 40 MPG on the highway.
The Versa will never be confused with a minivan, but it does have a roomy interior. Five people can fit comfortably, and there is a lot of headroom and legroom. You will have 14.7 cubic feet of trunk space to work with for the base trim, but that increases to 15 cubic feet for all other trims. Loading and unloading cargo is easy thanks to a wide trunk opening and low cargo floor, and the 60/40 split-folding back seats will give you extra room for cargo. The seats in the Versa are comfortable and come standard with cloth upholstery, but you can add heated front seats and a leather-wrapped steering wheel.
Inside the 2025 Versa, you will find a standard infotainment system with a seven-inch touchscreen. It’s easy to use and can also be operated with physical controls and voice commands, which is helpful when driving. Bluetooth, three USB ports, and a four-speaker stereo are all standard. There are plenty of upgrades you can add, such as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a Wi-Fi hotspot, satellite radio, and wireless device charging.

Nissan Sentra
If you’re looking for something a little bigger than the Versa, consider the Sentra. This compact model also handles nicely, but its hallmark is offering a smooth ride. Under the hood, you will find a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine that generates 149 horsepower and 146 lb-ft of torque and is paired with a CVT. You won’t have to worry about stopping too often to fill up, as this car gets an EPA-estimated 30 MPG in the city and 40 MPG on the highway.
The 2025 Sentra has a sizable cabin that accommodates five people, and the front row has the most legroom in its class. The trunk contains 14.3 cubic feet of cargo volume, and the back seats fold for more space. Cloth upholstery is standard, but leatherette and genuine leather upholstery is available. Other extras include a six-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, heated front seats, and a leather-wrapped heated steering wheel.
You will appreciate all of the built-in tech found in the Sentra. Every trim has a user-friendly infotainment system with a seven-inch or eight-inch touchscreen that is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. There are loads of things you can add, including satellite radio, remote start, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and an eight-speaker Bose stereo. A virtual key is also available, and this lets you lock, unlock, and start your car using your smartphone instead of a key fob.
Nissan Altima
As a midsize sedan, the Altima is the biggest car on this list. It comes with a potent 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that produces up to 188 horsepower and 180 lb-ft of torque, which makes passing slower vehicles on the road easy. Like the other sedans, the 2025 Altima really shines when it comes to fuel economy. With standard front-wheel drive, it gets an EPA-estimated 27 MPG in the city and 39 MPG on the highway. The available all-wheel drive, which isn’t an option for the smaller models, will get you an estimated 25 MPG in the city and 34 MPG on the highway.
The cabin of the Altima is quite roomy, and it fits five people. Space is plentiful in both rows, and even taller passengers won’t mind sitting in the back. This car is especially good for people who have long commutes, as the seats are comfortable and supportive. There is also ample room in the trunk with 15.4 cubic feet. Cloth upholstery and manually adjustable front seats are standard, but leather upholstery, power-adjustable heated front seats, and a heated steering wheel can be added.
The 2025 Altima is well-equipped when it comes to technology. Remote keyless entry, push-button start, and remote start are all standard. You will also get Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, Bluetooth, and an eight-inch infotainment system touchscreen. Looking for more? Proximity keyless entry, wireless device charging, satellite radio, and a 12.3-inch touchscreen are all available.

All of These Sedans Are Loaded with Safety Features
Need another reason to pick up one of these Nissan sedans? They come with numerous advanced safety systems. All three models have a rearview camera, along with:
- Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection: When you’re out driving, your car will closely monitor the road in front. If there’s something that you could collide with—either a vehicle or pedestrian—your sedan has the ability to apply the brakes by itself if you don’t react in time. If necessary, it can even come to a full stop.
- Rear Automatic Braking: Even though all Nissan sedans make parking simple with a rearview camera, you will also get a warning if you get too close to another car or any other object, and your sedan will apply the brakes automatically if needed.
- Lane Departure Warning: If you move out of your lane without signaling, your car will detect that you did it accidentally, and it will let you know about it via an audial and visual alert.
- Blind Spot Warning: Do you always feel a little nervous when you need to change lanes? With this feature, you will always be alerted to any cars that are in your blind spots.
- Driver Attention Alert: If you start driving erratically—perhaps due to fatigue—you will get a message from your car telling you to refocus or perhaps pull over.
