Two Bold and Efficient Engines

In terms of performance, the Nissan Altima gives you two engines to choose from, letting you get the kind of power you prefer. The standard engine is a 2.5L four-cylinder beauty that offers up to 188 hp and 180 lb-ft of torque, with front-wheel drive for excellent traction and control.

If we had to pick a single favorite detail about the Altima, it would likely be that it comes with the Nissan Safety Shield 360 suite of driver assistance features standard in every model. This means even the starting trim includes an Intelligent Forward Collision Warning with Automatic Emergency Braking mitigation to alert you to a potential crash and help you avoid it.

You also get Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, along with a Rear Cross Traffic Alert with Rear Automatic Braking mitigation as standard on every Altima.
