As your go-to place to find the Nissan Rogue for sale near Savoy, we here at Illini Nissan want to make sure that you’re aware of everything this compact SUV has to offer. If we were doing a general overview of the model, we’d have a lot to cover, from the Rogue’s fuel-efficient powertrain and reliable construction to its cutting-edge infotainment and safety tech. But today, we’re going to take an in-depth look at just one aspect of the Rogue: how it helps you store, organize, and access cargo. Whether you like to shop in bulk, transport your own furniture to avoid shipping costs, or head out for activities like camping that require a lot of equipment, you’ll appreciate the many clever cargo conveniences onboard the Rogue.

#1 – Spacious Cabin

Let’s start with the most important and most basic thing you need to store cargo: space. The 2025 Rogue gives you plenty of room to work with, offering 36.5 cu.ft. of cargo volume with all of the seats in their upright position, so you and your passengers can easily bring your belongings along for the ride as you travel around Savoy and beyond. If you don’t need all of the seats for passengers, you can expand the cargo area even further. The back row of seating has a 60/40 split, so you can fold it down entirely, fold down a single seat, or fold down two seats. With the entire back row out of the way, you have a generous 74.1 cu.ft. of space to play with.

#2 – Divide-N-Hide Cargo System

Having a big, open space is nice when you have bulky items like appliances or a large cooler to transport. But if you have several small items, it can be difficult to keep a big cargo area organized, and it’s all too easy for cargo to shift around as you take corners and travel up and down hills. That’s where the Divide-N-Hide cargo system comes in handy. This adjustable set of dividers and shelves has a variety of different configurations, so you can easily switch things up as your cargo needs change. As the name suggests, it can also be used to hide precious cargo from wandering eyes, so you can make sure you’re not making your SUV a target for break-ins. This convenient and versatile feature comes standard on the Rogue SL and Rogue Platinum.

#3 – Hands-Free Power Liftgate

Before you can even start to organize your cargo, you have to open the liftgate in order to access the cargo area. This can be tricky if your arms are full of shopping bags or your child’s carefully crafted science fair project. The available hands-free power liftgate addresses this problem with an elegant solution. Instead of using your hands to physically open the door or even to reach into your pocket for a key fob, you can simply kick your foot under the rear bumper with the key fob somewhere on your person. The liftgate will swing open, and you’ll be ready to load everything up and head back home to Savoy with your treasures safely secured.

#4 – Remote-Folding Rear Seats

Just about every SUV has a folding rear seat, but it’s not always the easiest thing to actually fold the seats down. Manual folding can be frustrating at times, especially if you’re in a rush to get somewhere. The 2025 Rogue’s available remote-folding feature eliminates this stress by making it easy to fold the seats down with the pull of a lever located in the back of the cargo area. No more climbing all over the cabin just to get a new configuration.

#5 – “Floating” Console With Smart Storage

The rear cargo area is great for luggage, groceries, and bulky items that you need to bring with you from one place to another. But it doesn’t make sense to keep every single thing in your Rogue way in the back. There are plenty of items that are good to have on hand as you run errands around Savoy or commute to work. Things like loose change, lip balm, sunglasses, and maybe a granola bar or two are nice to keep within easy reach. But in many vehicles, you either have to tuck these assorted items away in hard-to-access places or make the center console look cluttered and messy. With the 2025 Rogue, though, there’s a perfect solution: the “floating” center console.

Between the driver and front passenger seat is a two-tiered center console. The top portion has the cupholders, USB ports, gear shifter, drive mode selector, and parking brake, as well as a place to keep your smartphone (on some trims, this space is a wireless charging pad). Below that is a nicely sized shelf that can easily be accessed by the driver or the front passenger. This is the perfect place to keep small items that you want to have on hand during every drive.

#6 – Butterfly Armrest

Just behind the “floating” center console is a large bin where you can keep things that come in handy now and then, from toys for the kids to nail files and extra charging cables, but that you don’t mind tucking into a cubby that has a lid. But this lid isn’t the same as the ones you’ll find in most vehicles—it has a unique design that makes it extra convenient. Instead of needing to be lifted from the front, it has two hinged parts that can open independently. This design makes it easy for both front-seat and back-seat passengers to open the bin and access cargo. When the lid is closed, it can act as a comfortable armrest.

#7 – Large Door Pockets

Staying hydrated is important, whether you’re off on a big road trip or just cruising around Savoy. Sometimes, the front cupholders aren’t enough to store the amount of water or other beverages you want to bring along for the ride. Thankfully, all of the pockets attached to the doors of the Rogue are large enough to fit a large bottle. You can confidently head out on a trip of any length, knowing that you have enough backup water to stave off thirst and give you the energy you need to get through the day. And if you have kids in the back, they’ll have a perfect place to put their water bottles or sippy cups, even if all three of the rear seats are occupied.

#8 – Easy Access Rear Doors

Some SUVs put a lot of thought into their tailgate design, but ignore the fact that sometimes you might want to load cargo in through one of the side doors. For example, you might want to put a new TV in between the front and back seats for stability or avoid opening the tailgate until later because the rear cargo area is pretty full. And if you have kids, you probably know how difficult it can be to load a bulky child safety seat into a poorly designed cabin. The 2025 Rogue has you covered with three thoughtful touches. Redesigned door sills make it easy to lean into the interior comfortably like you might do to strap your toddler into their booster seat. An extra-tall door opening has enough space for you to pass bulky items through to the interior. To top it off, the rear doors open a full 90 degrees, so you can take full advantage of that generous opening.
